GtkHash

GtkHash is a small graphical hash tool for the GNOME Desktop, including Drag & Drop support.

Supported hash algorithms (Setup via “Edit→Preferences”), data as per v0.2.1:

  • MD2, MD4, MD5 (active by default)
  • SHA1 (active by default), SHA224, SHA256, SHA384, SHA512
  • RIPEMD128, RIPEMD160, RIPEMD256, RIPEMD320
  • HAVAL128, HAVAL160, HAVAL192, HAVAL224, HAVAL256
  • TIGER128, TIGER160, TIGER192
  • GOST
  • WHIRLPOOL
  • SNEFRU128, SNEFRU256
  • CRC32, CRC32B
  • ADLER32

Installation

Ubuntu

9.10 Karmic and above

Simply install the following package(s):

After installation, you can start the program by clicking “Applications→Accessories→GtkHash”. Or open a terminal and start it via gtkhash.
