7-Zip

7-Zip is an Open Source compression algorithm (achieving a 30-50% better compression than ZIP), and the program 7-Zip is the tool to use algorithm on MS Windows systems. It provides support for (un)compression 7-Zip and AES encrypted ZIP archives.

7-Zip additionally brings support to decompress .arj, .cab, .gz, .bz, .tar, .chm, .cpio, .deb, .dmg, .hfs, .iso, .lzh, .lzma, .msi, .nsis, .rar, .rpm, .udf, .wim, .xar and .z archives.
